Summer arrives and the new collective agreement for the ground staff of the shipping company Boluda Lines, S.A. in the province of Las Palmas has been deposited. The agreement will regulate the working conditions of the shipping company with a validity extending from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2030. The agreement includes clauses for salary protection against inflation and quantifies specific personal bonuses for a select group of fifteen active employees.

The agreed compensation framework establishes an initial base salary for the year 2026 segmented by professional qualification. The categories of fleet inspector, higher degree, commercial delegate, and section head will receive an identical base salary of 1,949.55 euros distributed over 14 monthly payments, which includes the proration of extraordinary bonuses in July and December. In the administrative ranks, a department chief will earn 1,665.76 euros monthly; an administrative officer or commercial technician will receive 1,419.00 euros, while assistants and subordinates will be at 1,258.71 euros for fourteen payments. From 2027 until 2030, all economic concepts will be indexed to the national CPI of the previous year, adding a fixed additional increase of 0.50% exclusively for the base salary.

The architecture of the pact includes a principle of linkage to the whole and a mechanism for compensation and absorption that unifies previous compensation under a concept called Personal Bonus. This guarantee, which is strictly individual and non-absorbable, compensates the concepts of seniority, supplementary salary, and the bonuses accrued in March and September under the agreement of the 2012-2017 period. The total annual amount allocated to this ad personam bonus amounts to 215,793 euros for the fifteen employees of the historical payroll, highlighting individual assignments ranging from 3,121.02 euros annually for Carlos Marcial Martín Delgado to a ceiling of 40,431.02 euros annually allocated to the commercial technician José Rodríguez Martín.

The text includes other economic benefits and mandatory social security provisions. A one-time Loyalty Bonus is set at 3,261.64 euros, payable in the month when the employee reaches 15 years of seniority in the company, with the right being postponed until 2033 for those employees who have already liquidated this concept in the 2018 review. In the section on rest periods, the company will pay an annual vacation pool grossing 1,222.62 euros in the August payroll. Furthermore, the shipping company is obliged to subscribe to a life insurance policy with coverage of 35,000 euros for cases of death from any cause or total permanent disability, increasing the insured capital to 60,000 euros in cases of death by accident or absolute permanent disability.

The effective working hours are stipulated at 1,826 annual hours, equivalent to 40 hours per week distributed from Monday to Friday with a divided schedule from 8:00 to 17:00 and a mandatory 60-minute break for lunch, with Friday’s working hours reduced to 15:00. The agreement guarantees exclusivity of the summer intensive schedule on a personal basis for Santiago González Pérez, Manuel García Santana, and Gerardo Batista Machín. The document formalizes the labor relations framework of the Boluda Maritime Corporation in the province of Las Palmas, maintaining in force an Equality Plan with a compliance horizon set for the year 2027.
