Canarship, the ship agency firm integrated into the Romeu Shipping Group and led by Javier Delgado, closed a strategic international alliance this August with German company Luba Shipping GmbH & Co. KG, which has had operations established for years in Las Palmas with Zamakona Yards. Under this commercial agreement, effective immediately, Luba Shipping will act as Canarship’s exclusive agent in the German and Danish markets, assuming direct representation to develop business and strengthen the brand’s presence in both northern European countries. No commercial negotiations have been or will be held with the parties mentioned in preparing this article, in keeping with Canarymaritime’s commitment not to mix advertising with news.
The strategic alliance brings together two established players in global maritime logistics. On the one hand, Canarship contributes a solid operational structure and broad regional coverage encompassing the port network of the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, Portugal, North Africa and Mexico, providing comprehensive ship agency, port agency, warehousing and maritime freight-forwarding services.
On the other, Luba Shipping has a strategic position in Central Europe and Scandinavia, making its network of contacts and technical track record in shipbroking, industrial project development and commercial representation available to the agreement.
Luba Shipping’s management highlighted the agreement’s operational potential, stressing the synergy created by combining Canarship’s technical capabilities and regional knowledge in the Atlantic and Mediterranean with its direct access to Germany’s and Denmark’s shipbuilding industries. This commercial cooperation seeks to attract new accounts and maritime traffic flows to the port network where Canarship operates, consolidating connections with Central Europe.
