The Official State Gazette (BOE) announced Tuesday that the Coordinadora Estatal de Trabajadores de los Puertos (CETP) has officially completed a comprehensive amendment of its internal regulations following the administrative validation of the file submitted by the trade union organization. The statutory revision process, launched at the request of the sector’s representatives, ratifies the agreements unanimously adopted at the organization’s federal congress and introduces substantial changes to its legal framework, the structure of its articles and the designation of the federation’s registered office.
The process of amending the bylaws and endorsing the new organizational structure has been backed by the territorial leadership of the port organization. The congress minutes were signed by general coordinator Miguel Ángel Hormigo Morillo, together with the senior officials responsible for the coastline’s strategic areas: José Juan Zamorano Pérez, head of the Canary Islands Zone; Jonatan Granado Gutiérrez, of the Northern Zone — who handled the formal processing of the amendment —; Juan Carlos Murcia González, representing the Catalan-Balearic area; and Roberto Jarque Marín, representing the Levante Zone.
The statutory revision approved by the port organization entails a profound transformation of its founding document. The union congress, held on June 4 and 5, 2025, approved the inclusion of a new Article 4, amendments to 20 core articles — Articles 1 through 20 — and a comprehensive update of its first, second and third additional provisions. As a technical consequence of this restructuring, the organization has completely renumbered the articles from the fourth provision onward, adapting the operational framework to the current reality of docks and terminals along the Spanish coast.
The amendment file, processed under registration number 99005742 — replacing the previous number 8720 — verified strict compliance with the requirements established by current legislation on freedom of association and the filing of regulations governing labor organizations. The formal application was submitted through the federation’s authorized representatives, culminating in the definitive acceptance of the text after the legality of the agreements adopted by the governing bodies of the conservative entity had been confirmed.
This territorial distribution reflects the specific role played by the country’s main port hubs in the federation’s decision-making, consolidating a decentralized structure focused on collective bargaining and defending the social and labor conditions of stevedores and port-sector workers. With the completion of the registration-publicity procedures, the new bylaws are fully in force, bringing the administrative process to a close and opening a new chapter in the internal governance of the right-wing organization at state-run docks.
