It was built by Zamakona. The Ministry of Transport has resorted to an administrative exception route to ensure the maintenance of the Heroínas de Sálvora, the most advanced vessel in the Salvamento Marítimo fleet. After a previous tender was left vacant, the SASEMAR Directorate has awarded the services of dry docking and repair to the Canary Islands subsidiary of Lavinia through a negotiated procedure without publicity. The contract, formalized for an exact amount of 547,717.45 euros, ensures the readiness of a critical unit for safety in the waters of the archipelago. The decision to utilize ‘negotiated without publicity’ is based on the Public Sector Contract Law, activated due to no offers being submitted in the original tender. In this second phase, the Canary Islands company of the Hispano-Greek group was the only company to submit a proposal, being awarded the service with 100% of the score based on the economic offer. This move allows for the acceleration of maintenance work at a time of maximum operational pressure for Salvamento Marítimo on the Atlantic route, preventing the vessel from being out of service longer than strictly necessary. The Heroínas de Sálvora is a key element in the security deployment of the Port of Las Palmas. With a length of 82 meters and an initial investment of over 53 million euros, this vessel stands out as a technological laboratory capable of operating with drones and coordinating large rescue operations and pollution control.
