The multinational leader in contract logistics, ID Logistics, has made a significant move at the El Goro Business Park (Telde). With the laying of the first stone this January 2026, the company is commencing the construction of a 13,000 m² multi-client platform that will be crucial for critical sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetics in the archipelago.
The facility, set to open in the third quarter of 2026, is not a conventional warehouse. It features 2,000 m² of controlled temperature space, of which 1,600 m² are specifically designed to meet the strict regulations of the pharma sector. This infrastructure addresses a historical demand in the Canary Islands: the need for advanced logistics centers that ensure complete traceability of medicines and sensitive products under high technology standards.
Located just 5 kilometers from the airport and 30 kilometers from the Port of Las Palmas, the ID Logistics platform in El Goro acts as the linchpin that connects goods entry with final distribution. Furthermore, the project is marked by BREEAM Very Good sustainability certification, incorporating optimized natural lighting systems to reduce environmental impact, a requirement that major international retailers are imposing on their logistics operators.
The project is the result of collaboration between ID Logistics, led by Jérôme Jacek, and Drakaris Inversiones, with CEO Héctor Mateos at the helm, marking the first investment by this firm in the Islands. The event received strong support from the Telde City Council, led by Mayor Juan Antonio Peña, who sees this platform as a job engine and the definitive consolidation of El Goro as the most dynamic logistics hub in Gran Canaria.
