Will it be like the union in Las Palmas that is part of the CEOE? In the board of directors of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, the employers’ group Fedeport is represented, which is a federation. And within that federation, there is a business terminal that includes the management team of the right-leaning stevedores. They feed each other.

But in Tenerife, a **central** of **port workers** has emerged. The General Directorate of Labor of the Government of the Canary Islands has proceeded to rectify a **material error** in the resolution that announced the constitution of the union Workers for the Ports of Tenerife (TPT) this March. This correction, signed by the Director General of Labor, José Ramón Rodríguez, adjusts the **jurisdictional framework** applicable for the challenge to the constitution of this labor organization. Previously it was national and now it is exclusively of Tenerife.

The request was made by **Elena Ruiz** and involved the correction of document defects in February 2025, that is, one year from its creation is when this has been published. The record was signed by the promoters mentioned: Ruiz Escuela, Carlos Ledesma, Unise Pérez, Henry Rodríguez, and Diego Boriko.

The corrected resolution **ratifies** the acceptance of the deposit of constitution of TPT for meeting the requirements of the **Organic Law of Trade Union Freedom**. The union has established its **headquarters** at Calle Antonio Machado 16, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with a territorial scope limited to the island of Tenerife and a functional scope detailed in its statutes.

There are people who don’t need to raise their voice to be noticed. He belongs to that rare breed of stubborn observers who understand power as a board to be studied in silence, piece by piece, until it becomes clear who is really moving the pieces. A journalist and analyst by instinct and a storyteller by conviction, his career has unfolded within the folds of power in Tenerife, never losing sight of the Canary Islands, where he learned that the great narratives begin at the margins.
