The maritime services and professional diving company José Luis Samper Sepúlveda S.L. (Samper Divers) has consolidated the strengthening of its logistics structure in the archipelago with the arrival of the Tecelana at the Port of Las Palmas. The vessel, a steel-hulled unit measuring 19 meters in length and with a gross tonnage of 41 GT, is now moored at the docks of the Gran Canaria capital after completing an Atlantic positioning voyage from the port of Sada, in the province of A Coruña.
The voyage between the Galician coast and the island enclave required complex technical planning and the coordination of permits with the port authorities in both areas. The operation was carried out by the crew assigned to the maritime passage, whose work enabled the planned route to be maintained without technical incidents along the Atlantic corridor. The transfer of the vessel formally marks its departure from the Galician fleet to become a permanent part of the Canary Islands-based company’s diving and maritime assistance network.
Founded under the leadership of José Luis Samper Sepúlveda, a historic pioneer of professional diving at the Port of La Luz whose career was shaped by complex rescue and refloating operations in the region, the family-owned company is expanding its capacity for deepwater operations and work on port infrastructure with the acquisition.
The addition of the Tecelana responds to growing demand for underwater work, naval inspections and support for offshore operations in the central Atlantic, enabling Samper Divers to increase its response capacity in vessel maintenance, underwater cutting and environmental emergencies at the port of Gran Canaria.
