The Port of La Luz has reinforced its strategy for sustainability and operational efficiency through the modernization of its maintenance equipment in critical areas. Within the cleaning service that Eulen Group provides at the OPCSA container terminal, the Urban electric vehicle from Club Car has recently been integrated. This addition responds to the need to optimize hygiene tasks in a high-intensity logistics environment, where cleaning transit surfaces is not just an aesthetic issue but a determining factor for the safety of maneuvers and the preservation of port infrastructure.
The deployment of Eulen with this new resource, imported by Riversa, allows for superior agility in restricted circulation areas and loading zones where conventional machinery faces maneuvering difficulties. The Urban model stands out for its compact and multifunctional design, capable of transporting up to one ton of cargo and two operators simultaneously. Its specific configuration as a high-pressure washer facilitates the removal of embedded dirt and industrial waste on pavements subjected to extreme use, ensuring that terminal operability is not compromised by the state of the surface.
Eulen’s choice of a 100% electric platform underscores a commitment to reducing environmental impact within the port area. Operating silently and without emissions, the vehicle contributes to improving the working environment in an area where cohabitation with heavy machinery is constant. Additionally, with a range exceeding 100 kilometers and a speed of 50 km/h, the Urban offers the necessary versatility to move quickly between different sectors of the terminal, integrating into the service fleet without the need for complex charging infrastructure.
