The bidding process for the contract covering the comprehensive services for the organization, technical coordination and operational execution of the 2027 Fundación Puertos de Las Palmas Half Marathon has completed its first critical phase. The public entity’s Technical Assistance Unit, with Beatriz Calzada serving as secretary, has made public its assessment of the proposals subject to qualitative evaluation, placing the firm DG Eventos in a clear competitive lead over its rivals.
This information was prepared independently by the Canarymaritime newsroom under exclusively editorial criteria, with no commercial consideration or ties to the entities mentioned. Although DG Eventos’ 2.90-point lead over Touring & Sport and 6.40-point lead over Top Time give it a significant margin, the final award of the 2027 Half Marathon contract will depend on the final aggregation of the financial bids submitted by each bidder.
The technical assessment, issued after reviewing the proposals in electronic file number two, awarded DG Eventos’ bid an overall score of 24.40 points out of a possible maximum of 25.00. The contracting authority’s analysis highlighted the company’s plan’s operational soundness, the rigor of its design for safety flows in the port area and the precision of the proposed schedule for setting up and clearing public space on race day. The contract is worth €200,000.
Technical evaluation breakdown
DG Eventos, with 24.40 points, led in all three areas examined. It scored 9.80 out of 10 for the Operational Master Plan, based on a projected field of 3,000 runners and a self-protection plan coordinated with the Preventive Command Post. It also scored 9.80 out of 10 in the Work Schedule for the detail provided on the setup sequence and dismantling routes, while it came close to the maximum score in Control and Quality Systems, with 4.80 out of 5. The other bidders are Touring & Sport (21.50 points) and Top Time Eventos, with 18 points.
