After seven months of a complex technical audit, in Puerto del Rosario, the Tinsa by Accumin team has reached the closing phase in the update of the values of land and water areas of the Port Authority of Las Palmas. This process, led by Jose Antonio Lopez Ramirez, director of Sectoral Strategy, is not a mere administrative procedure; it is the updating of the ‘balance sheet’ of one of the most important public assets in the Central Atlantic. The new valuation encompasses not only the main precinct but also the lands linked to maritime signaling in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, readjusting the market value of service areas to the economic reality of 2026.

This update is a critical step for the legal certainty of the concessionaires. During the information sessions held in Arrecife and Puerto del Rosario, Tinsa presented the methodology used to business owners and representatives of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, shedding light on how water area assets are valued today in a high logistic demand environment. For companies established in the ports, the technical rigor of Tinsa provides a necessary transparency framework for the calculation of rates and fees, elements that determine the long-term profitability of their investments.

The technical milestone achieved by Tinsa is the piece that unlocks the final approval process by the Port Authority, Ports of the State, and the ministries of Finance and Transport. Once published in the BOE, this new value map will serve as the financial standard for the next decade of development in the province’s ports.

In a context where capital efficiency is paramount, having a rigorous valuation allows public administration and the private sector to align their objectives, consolidating Las Palmas as a logistics hub where the value of land matches its global strategic importance.

There are people who don’t need to raise their voice to be noticed. He belongs to that rare breed of stubborn observers who understand power as a board to be studied in silence, piece by piece, until it becomes clear who is really moving the pieces. A journalist and analyst by instinct and a storyteller by conviction, his career has unfolded within the folds of power in Tenerife, never losing sight of the Canary Islands, where he learned that the great narratives begin at the margins.
