The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has reaffirmed the **strategic role** of Las Palmas as a center of excellence for global logistics modernization. Through its TrainInfortrade program, the Gran Canaria capital becomes an **indispensable partner** for a series of training programs aimed at professionalizing the management of critical infrastructure across three continents, consolidating the La Luz dock as a **top-tier pedagogical reference**.

The schedule of Canary Islands activities opens with the **Pedagogical Training Seminar for Instructors (Coaching)**, which will take place in Las Palmas from March 19 to 25, 2026. This specialized call is designed for future trainers of the francophone network, ensuring that the **quality standards** of the United Nations are transmitted using the best pedagogical tools.

In the **transatlantic realm**, Las Palmas acts as a crucial supporting entity in three major certification processes in Latin America. The first is the **I Course on Modern Port Management in Mexico**, which will take place from May 26, 2026, to October 31, 2027. Following this is the **X Course on Modern Port Management in Peru**, starting on June 1, 2026, and the **III Course on Modern Port Management in Guatemala**, whose teaching phase begins on March 10, 2026, both concluding in October 2027.

The culmination of this **knowledge transfer** will take place on-site with the **Study Trip to Las Palmas 2026**, scheduled from June 18 to 26. This high-level meeting will allow international managers to learn first-hand about the operations of the Canarian port. Finally, the participation of Las Palmas extends to the **Training of Trainers Workshop (Modules 1 to 4)**, which will be held from June 29 to July 10, 2026, where specialists from various port sections will be trained to lead change in their respective home countries.
